How to Play on TheQuickSport: The Complete Guide
Welcome to TheQuickSport
Whether you are new to the platform or just want a refresher, this guide walks you through everything: joining a community, topping up your wallet, signing up for games, and understanding how refunds and waiting lists work.
Let's get you on the field.
How to Join a Community
Communities are the heart of TheQuickSport. They are groups of players who regularly organise and play games together. Browse available communities on the Communities page or use an invite link shared by a friend.
There are two types of communities: public and private. Private communities are marked with a lock icon.
- Find a community on the Communities page or use an invite link.
- Open the community page and tap "Join".
- For private communities, fill in any required questions and wait for admin approval.
- Once you are a member, you will see all upcoming events and can sign up.
How to Top Up Your Wallet
Paid events are handled through your wallet balance. Before you can join a paid game, you need to have enough funds.
Topping up is quick and secure — payments are processed through Mollie, a trusted European payment provider.
- Go to your Wallet page from the menu.
- Enter the amount you want to add.
- Choose your preferred payment method (iDEAL, credit card, etc.).
- Complete the payment — funds appear in your wallet immediately after confirmation.
How to Join a Free Event
Free events require no wallet balance. Just find a game you like on the All Games page and sign up.
- Browse available games on All Games or inside a community.
- Open an event and check the details (sport, date, location, skill level).
- Tap "Join" to add yourself to the player list.
- If the game is already full, you will be placed on the waiting list automatically.
How to Join a Paid Event
Paid events work the same way as free events, except the entrance fee is deducted from your wallet balance when you sign up. If a promocode or early bird discount is available, it is applied automatically.
- Make sure your wallet has enough balance (top up if needed).
- Open the paid event and review the price and details.
- Tap "Join" — the entrance fee is deducted from your wallet instantly.
- If the game is full, you are placed on the paid waiting list and your fee is reserved.
Game Confirmation: What It Means
A game becomes "confirmed" once the minimum number of players has signed up. This means the event is going ahead as planned.
Once a game is confirmed, your payment is locked in. Refunds are not processed automatically — if you need to leave a confirmed game, you must contact the admin to request a refund.
Understanding the Waiting List
When a game reaches its maximum number of players, new sign-ups are placed on the waiting list. The waiting list works on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Waiting list position is based on sign-up order (first come, first served).
- When a player leaves the main list, the first waiting list player is promoted.
- For paid events, waiting list players are refunded automatically 2 hours before the game starts if they were not promoted.
- Waiting list players always receive a 100% refund if they cancel or are not promoted.
Refund Policy at a Glance
Refund amounts for paid events depend on whether you are on the main player list or the waiting list, and how much time is left before the game starts. For full details, see our Terms & Conditions.
| Situation | Timing | Refund |
|---|---|---|
| Main player list | More than 12 hours before the game | 90% |
| Main player list | 12 hours or less before the game | 60% |
| Waiting list | Anytime | 100% |
| Friend payment | Not self-refundable | — |
| Game cancelled (not confirmed) | Automatic | 100% |
| Waiting list auto-cleanup | 2 hours before game start | 100% |
Quick Tips Before You Play
- Keep your wallet topped up so you never miss a paid game.
- Join communities in your area to discover new games and meet players.
- Sign up early — spots fill up fast and the waiting list does not guarantee a place.
- If your plans change, request a refund as early as possible to get the maximum amount back.
- Check the game details carefully: sport type, skill level, location, and time.
